Brent Johnson was born in Texas but then moved to the North Shore in Mandeville, La with his family. He became interested in playing the guitar at the young age of 5, and through the years his father made sure that he listened to good music and all the great guitar players: Les Paul, Chet Atkins, and Scottie Moore.

Brent became interested in the blues as a teenager and had several bands while in high school. After school he became involved in a band called Under the Gun. This is when Bryan Lee heard the band's only CD and was very impressed. Although young, Brent had a terrific feeling for the blues and has been an integral part of the Bryan Lee Blues Power Band for 4 years.
